Chi-town raised singer/producer Natalie came into the scene in 2018 with her debut EP Shameful which showcased her genre-bending production skills and unique vocal range. On her new effort titled “Skins”, she delivers a heartfelt and somewhat haunting take on celebrity worship, fame, and paranoia.

The self-produced track is quite heavy and moody for the most part. From the menacing, dark synths, punchy trap drums, and her use of vocal effects to emphasize the theme of the song. Listeners can hear the pained emotions coupled with evocative lyrics that dive into instant fame nurtured by soft sell blogs and media outlets that thrive on clicks and engagement. It’s quite poignant and apt in these crazy times we live in.

“Skins” was birthed during the early part of the global lockdown when she was alone by herself in her apartment for 6 weeks.
