Jasiri X – Day 2 feat. Carlitta Durand prod. RLGN

Pittsburgh native Jasiri X‘s latest track Day 2 has this uplifting, inspirational vibe to it, teaming up with his usual collaborator RLGN who cooks up something special with vocalist Carlitta Durand (remember her?). Known for his profound, conscious lyrics, Jasiri X follows a path he knows fully well. I remember hearing his music for the first time when he dropped that Trayvon Martin tribute song a while back and has been consistent ever since.

This can’t go wrong man. Hit the play button and get with the program.

It’s been a minute since we’ve heard from Hawdwerk, and it’s great to know that he’s back!

First and foremost, he’s currently working on a new EP called Call In Sick (reminds me of his 2012 single), which will be released very soon. This will be his latest release since The Graveyard Shift. In the meantime, he’s looking to cast some folks in his new music video called ‘WUDDUP’. Check out the details about that below:

Suff Daddy & Torky Tork – Carpet Patrol (Album Review)

It’s with great interest that I receive the news of a new Suff Daddy project. I’ve been following him for some time now and have thoroughly enjoyed his progress as a producer. He’s a busy guy. It doesn’t seem so long ago that I was listening to the Betty Ford Boys album (another of Suff Daddy’s collaboration projects). When I was asked if I would be interested in reviewing Carpet Patrol I jumped at the chance.

Carpet Patrol is a collaborative album made by Suff Daddy and fellow..

The first single is called Bandits which displays influences from electronic, hip-hop,c ountry and blues. It’s really experimental, somewhat off kilter but interestingly different from the jazz vibes of his older group.

Jondis & Keor Meteor – Deleted Scenes

Beat maker Keor Meteor has dropped a plethora of collaborative musical projects with different emcees over the years and he always seem to bring out something new on every new release. On this new release called Deleted Scenes the beats are dusty, emotional, somewhat dark and cinematic, all that plus the little vocal snippets he employs which really draws the listener into this man’s crazy world. The emcee in question Jondis has that cool, smooth flow which compliments Keor’s gritty backdrop.

This is some half short, twice strong type project. Totally fresh!

French beatsmith Keor Meteor has been dropping independent artist album releases on..

Los Rakas – No Tan Listo (video); Album News..

I’ve been slippin’ on my pimpin’ for a minute.

Los Rakas is set to release their newest album, El Negrito Dun Dun & Ricardo next week on April 15th. Here’s their first single… well, the visuals for them called No Tan Listo (They Ain’t Ready). You better be warned, because they’re stamping in your heads that there is a new Afro-Latino hiphop sound that’s about to come out, whether you’re ready for it or not. Check out the album cover below.

Watch out for the next single, Sueño Americano (American Dream) to come out soon.
