It’s a tough job as we sift through a ton of high-quality tracks just to settle for just 5 so we switched it up so now we curating the Top 10 Submissions. MadeByDubs – Hollow.

Indie act Made By Dubs pushes the envelope with his poignant lyrics and minimalistic productions. On his new song/video “Hollow”, he shows just how indie he can get as he dwells on his quirks and talents while ignorinng the naysayers.

 

 

 

 

Scooty – The Difference (Produced by TOPE)

Indie RnB act Scooty delivers a heartfelt record titled “The Difference” which shows her unique rap influenced style.  Her vocal style and demeanor exude a solid blend of neo-soul, alternative RnB and hip-hop.

Produced by West Coast artist TOPE (Slum Village, Blu, Gift Of Gab) “The Difference” is gritty yet smooth all the same time, drenched with bass and well-placed guitar licks. Marking the first official single from their upcoming album, Scooty and TOPE give us just a taste of the possibilities of where this collaboration can go on “The Difference,” leaving listeners hitting rewind by the time the track ends. Octavio Herrera aka OCTAVIO looks at his personal mistakes on his new track “Karma”. The laid-back, solemn track is personal and shows how OCTAVIO staggers between regret and an unapologetic celebration of the baggage from his past. 

 

 

 

Grand Opus [Joc Scholar & Centric] – The Drug (feat. Buckshot)

Westcoast group  Grand Opus team up with the legendary Buckshot on the hard-hitting banger titled “The Drug”. Not to get it misconstrued, the title of the record is a metaphor for the truest drug the group is addicted to, which is music.

This is the second single from their upcoming LP “High Power” coming out December 7th, 2018.

 

 

Mona Haydar “Lifted”

MC/activist Mona Haydar delivers an uplifting record with an apt titled “Lifted”. Armed with a laid-back vocal tone and vivid lyrics, she paints a picture of pain, hope and strength over the solemn soundscape.
“Lifted” is taken from her debut EP Barbarican . The Brooklyn based rapper is all about togetherness and empowerment on the track as she concludes “…the song is about lifting each other up in our times of sorrow and be there for each other in our times of joy.”
She found viral success with her empowering debut single   Hijabi, which Billboard named it one of 2017’s top protest songs and 25 top feminist anthems of all time.

 

 

 Gaspar Narby – Words of July.

London-based Swiss producer Gaspar Narby teams up with British songwriter LEES on his new cut titled “Words Of July”. The love-laden record is the perfect bit of romantic summer nostalgia, with crisp beats, gorgeous guest vocals, and R&B flair. He is currently studying Popular Music at Goldsmiths’ College, University of London.

 

 

Landry M – Happy Man

Landry M drops new single “Happy Man” off his debut album. The solemn cut is heartfelt and poignant from start to finish.

Born in 1995 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Landry M lived in France and Belgium before relocating in the United States in 2013 to start his career. After working on his own music, Landry M released his debut EP ‘Confident’ in September 2016.

 

 

 joe p. the MC – politics.

Joe P. the MC dwells on the 2018 elections and gives his own 2 cents on the matter. The song “politics” has a mellow, solemn soundscape which fits Joe’s cynnical view on the current political situation and then some.
