The self-produced record is soulful, gritty and hits the mark.

LAOLU – So Right.

UK singer Laolu delivers the visual for her previously released single “So Right”.  The vibrant song gets a solid visual that is fun-filled and summery as well. It also exudes the most carefree and open that we have seen Laolu in recent times, beautifully mirroring the infectious and uplifting feeling of the single.

“So Right” is the third and final single from her forthcoming All In Me EP.

AWAR – Bricks Like 86 (feat. Styles P & Jadakiss)

Rap veteran AWAR teams up with Styles P & Jadakiss on this hard-hitting single titled “Bricks Like 86”. The song was produced by Vanderslice (who AWAR also has a duo with) and fits the raw rhymes delivered by AWAR and the LOX members as they paint vivid pictures of the 80s crack era and all of its glitz and body count.

Jay Warren – Need You Right Now.

Jay Warren comes through with his new record “Need You Right Now”.  This smooth R&B track leans heavily on Jay’s silk laden vocal performance. As he croons, laidback, spaced out beats flow endlessly beneath his calls for love in a lonely world.

While the vocals lean in that direction, the track would fit comfortably on any chill playlist.

Kaien Cruz – Dangerous

South African singer-songwriter Kaien Cruz just dropped her brand new single, the alluring “Dangerous”. The single fuses pop and nu-soul elements with an infectious electronic beat, ‘Dangerous’ radiates flickers of summer melodies, lyrically echoing the sentiment of ‘Maneater’ (both Hall & Oates, and Nelly Furtado versions).

Kaien said: “I wrote ‘Dangerous’ during a very frustrating time in my life. I’d just realized that a lot of people in this industry that I thought had my back, actually didn’t. So this song is about those people and other things in my life that I thought were good for me, but were only holding me back.

‘Dangerous’ is the first new music to come from the Durban-born artist, following the release of her 8-track debut EP ‘Mansion Mind’ which was released last year. Follow her on FB , Twitter and IG.

OS – Bowser’s Castle.

Philly raised rapper who goes by the moniker OS shares his Super Mario Bros inspired single titled “Bowser’s Castle”. It starts with a letter by Princess Toadstool who seeks the help of Mario to come to her rescue . OS  delivers his lines with a laid-back, off-kilter style reminiscent of early Earl Sweatshirt but also shows some DOOM influences as well. The beat was made by a friend of OS who challenged him to write his verse in 10 minutes which he did. The SMB inspiration came due to the fact that OS had been playing the game a whole lot and the beat reminded him of the video game.

This song is the intro track to my recently released album titled “Road Trip”.
