It’s a tough job as we sift through a ton of high-quality tracks just to settle for just 5 so we switched it up so now we curating the Top 10 Submissions. Thutmose x Rema – “Love in the Morning”
Thutmose recently teamed up with break out Nigerian pop star Rema on the smooth afro/r&b “Love in the Morning”. Backed by a smooth beat produced by Avedon, both young acts come through and deliver lush melodic flows for the ladies. The video was directed by Thutmose himself with assistance from Femi Ladi during their time in London, the video is in line with the song’s romantic theme, and sees the two artists performing the track in various ambient settings.

Alexis Troy – “Codeine”
For his second single, producer Alexis Troy teams up with an unknown vocalist . Titled “Codeine”, the listener is treated to a solemn, atmospheric texture augmented by the emotion-driven vocals. Spurred by intimate moments of a spiralling relationship damaged by drug abuse, the vocalist draws our ears to the darkest regions we may overlook.
The visuals are produced by visual artist Deveroe, who already already worked alongside Troy for RIN’s “Dior 2001” video

Darrell Simms – “Miracles”
Budding emcee Darrell Simms looks at life on his new single “Miracles”. Backed by a smooth, jazzy groove, he pontificates on the bright side of life regardless of the dark clouds that may sometimes float over our heads. It’s a song that shows that in spite of the endeavors you go through during life, it’s a blessing and miracle that you are still here doing what you love.
Braezin – “Black Light” (ft. RoyalT).
Braezin delivers a solemn, heartfelt piece titled “Black Light”. Backed by a solemn, laid back vibe, he shares a gripping tale of heartbreak and all the demons he had to fight to keep his wits together. The song also serves as the perfect outlet for him to get the weight off his chest.

LISTENtoSIN x LunchMoney Lewis – “Get The Bag (Breathe & Stop)”
“Get The Bag (Breathe & Stop)” is the first single from SIN‘s (aka LISTENtoSIN) new album, ‘Private Flight’ featuring a guest appearance from LunchMoney Lewis. Backed by a rousing beat that blends the drums from Q-Tip’s “Breathe & Stop” and a cinematic vocal sample, he details the hustler’s tale that everyone trying to get the bag can relate to.

Capital Ode – “Live Illegal”
Capital Öde shares a poignant tale of life as an immigrant in the states on his new record “Live Illegal”. Over a smooth, reflective backdrop, he details the troubles and worries of immigrants who are trying to make their way in the land of the brave. The song was made in support of all undocumented immigrants, something that touches close to home because Ode himself grew up in this country as an undocumented immigrant from the age of 10 and didn’t become a permanent resident until he was 21.

Oli Hannaford – “Like That” (ft. Weyland Mckenzie & Leon Jacques)
Oli Hannaford teams up with London-based rapper Weyland Mckenzie & R&B singer Leon Jacques for a soulful piece titled “Like That”. The artists deliver a sassy record that really grips the soul with its fiery style. The song is about standing up for yourself and not letting people say anything they want to you – letting people know that they should respect you.

Mike G – “This One” (Video)
Mike G is back with the video for his song “This One” taken from his EXILE EP. The visual is made up of Moody shots of raindrops accompanied by an umbrella-wielding Mike G as he delivers his signature smooth flow over the slithery, mesmerizing beat. It’s yet another dynamic visual highlight as he gears up to release his long-in-the-works debut album STEALTH FIGHTER.
Sasha Renee – “BIG Freestyle”
Sasha Renee displays lyrical ferocity on her new effort titled “BIG Freestyle” where she jumps on Young M.A’s instrumental. She doesn’t mince words here and goes for the jugular with raw uncut lyrics and a passionate flow.

Kiilanda x DempseyRollBoy – “Mid-Life Crisis”
Kiilanda and DempseyRollBoy team up for a poignant piece titled “Mid-Life Crisis”. Backed by a smooth jazz-infused beat, Kiilanda shares her frustrations being an adult in this crazy world where the challenges can be daunting. DempseyRollBoy also comes through with his thoughts on the situation as he details the ups and downs of living from paycheque to paycheque just to stay afloat.

Diggy Metro x Yumeforever – Blessed.
Bergen County, New Jersey-based hip-hop act Diggy Metro teams up with fellow NJ producer Yumeforever for a solid track titled “Blessed”. The hard-hitting track by Yumeforever pays homage to Houston Hip Hop Culture with its booming bass-driven trap beat and lush textures. Metro shares with the listeners his New Jersey roots and also the fact that he has been strongly influenced by the Houston, Texas sound and flow.
