The Notoriou’s B.I.G.‘s bornday has passed not too long ago, and how crazy it is that Red Bull Music Academy has an episode on his debut song’s sample! In this episode of RBMA’s ‘Beat:Repeat NYC’, here’s James Mtume breaking down how his group’s classic song Juicy Fruit came to life with using the Linn-Drum drum machine (like the Peech Boys). Also, watch Da Beatminerz’s DJ Evil Dee break down Juicy Fruit using the legendary hiphop drum machine, the SP-1200.
