Rising UK singer Dizzy Goku (a.k.a North African Pepper) is preparing to release his sophomore EP but in the interim, he shares with us his lead single “Better Sides of You” which comes with an accompanying visual. The mid-tempo pop/R&B-infused track sees Dizzy searching high and low for that special someone while guarding his heart and being cautious at the same time. The track was inspired by Alfred Lord Tennyson’s famous quote “It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all, and details Dizzy’s experiences in the dating scene. Over the smooth guitar licks, pulsating bass-driven grooves and sublime pads, Dizzy sings “”Wait for a second Whatchu say I heard you calling out my name Let me brace myself If that’s okay/ What was that about Cause if it’s love your feeling then I’m in doubt/ And if it love your feeling then show me now” as he yearns for his love interest to embrace their love.

The visual is a cinematic piece that centers around a speed dating lounge involving different characters including Dizzy. Here, we see the different shenanigans potential couples get up to while trying to get to know each other. From being distracted, and feigning a lack of interest to a genuine show of affection, the visual covers it all but ends on a positive note so stick around till the end.

“Better Sides of You” is taken from Dizzy Goku’s forthcoming EP and the single involves drummer Rocco Hussle, bassist Sh0tgun Josh and guitarist Debani.
