Josh One‘s newest release “This Far” is a blend of trip-hop, and traditional boom-bap sounds with excellent turntablism. The textures are scenic and have a dark pop feel as they play perfectly with the rich guitar plucks, airy horns and off-kilter sound design. All these are underpinned by punchy drums and smooth scratches using a handful of vocal samples.
