Ogi feel the Beat‘s style of lo-fi instrumentals traverses the genre itself as the producer infuses quite a range of sounds and styles into his repertoire. Taking the lush sounds of R&B, surreal lofi pads, head-nodding hip-hop drum grooves and the warmth of neo-soul, his musical releases often push the envelope. Today he thrills us with some new gems from his arsenal in the form of two songs “Lost in the Background” and “Chilout Zone”

 

The first cut “Lost in the Background” is a laidback piano-laden, dreamy piece that exudes nostalgia and sombre feelings. Using downtempo drums, lush keys and layered textures, he takes audiences into a comforting zone where worries are drowned out by the soul-soothing sounds he has prepared.

“Chilout Zone” is the second track that follows the relaxing theme and brings a different vibe. The airy textures are bolstered by pulsating bass-driven grooves, sparsely arranged pads and haunting vocal chops. The track is also punctuated by airy jazz horns and keys complementing the moody pads.
