Jon Moniz – “Chit Chat”

Canadian rapper/songwriter Jon Moniz shares the visuals for his single “Chit Chat.” The playful song finds Moniz as the eligible bachelor whose aura never goes unnoticed by women, especially the married ones. Backed by the lush and bouncy production by Light Warrior Nation, Moniz shares his experience as a charismatic man who makes women rubberneck when he steps on the scene. The video was directed by Disjonctés Productions, and finds Moniz trying to survive an onslaught of beautiful ladies who are willing to leave their men just to be by his side.

DJ Jay Mob x Ruste Juxx x Craig G – “Real Hip Hop”

DJ Jay Mob recruits Ruste Juxx and the legendary QB lyricist Craig G to present the raw, uncut “Real Hip Hop”. The track strips down to the bare minimum with a crunchy drum break, scenic sample chops underpinned by hard-nosed rapping. Ruste Juxx leads the charge with his gruff vocals and street-edged rhymes, followed by Craig G’s smooth flow and stylish wordplay and inner rhyme schemes. The visuals are performance-based with cut scenes that capture both emcees in their element.

Just Frank Music – “Too soon/Holding on”

UK singer/songwriter/producer Just Frank Music enters this week’s visual playlist with the live visuals for the double-sided single “Too Soon/Holding On.” Both tracks are a smooth blend of modern neo-soul with alternative hip-hop vibes underpinned by his expressive vocal performance and heartfelt songwriting.  Armed with his commanding vocal tone and warm melodic style reminiscent of luminaries like Lemar and Seal, Just Frank Music delivers a solid outing on this one and definitely has our attention from here on.

Both songs will be featured on his upcoming project After Hours 90“.

Jay Dutch x BiiG Dreams – “the night before we repent”.

“The Night Before We Repent” is an insightful piece from Jay Dutch and BiiG Dreams. The track blends soulful textures with snapping drum grooves and finds the emcee reflecting on blossoming love, the power of lust, pride and the aftermath of repentance. The lyrics touch on the delicate topic with a bit of nuance, showing audiences the duality of humans. The visual style blends performance shots with recurring motifs that highlight the evolution of a man as he struggles through the deadly sins.
