Following his debut studio album Frank released via Lex Records earlier this year, Richmond’s own Fly Anakin returns to share a new Madlib-produced remix of the album track “No Dough.” As usual, we are gifted with a cinematic blaxploitation-inspired soundscape by Madlib who flips a layered soundscape with punchy drums and anthemic horns. Fly Anakin comes through with new vocals as well and gets into his element with bravado raps that detail his work ethic and how he moves to secure his bag.

The remix is part of Lex Records’ LEX-XX 20th Anniversary remix series which includes remixes by Thom Yorke, Boards of Canada, Actress, Danger Mouse, King Krule and others.
