NYC-based trio 3-G Ciphernautz return with their new single “Rugged Fundamentals,” an experimental hip-hop track featuring great John Patitucci on bass, and Paul Pimsler on guitar. The track fuses a funk groove with ethereal jazzy textures, creating a cinematic experience. The chorus has an 80s-sounding feel, bolstered by edgy, layered instruments, while the verses are pared down, creating space and depth.
