South London-based rap artist BlazeYL pays homage to his stomping grounds in the aptly titled single “Str8 Outta Kennington”. The mid-tempo semi-autobiographical tune sees him teaming up with Blanco and NSJ Mali and the result is a vivid depiction of life in the ends. The production is punchy and has a reflective feel with jazz elements which forms the perfect backdrop for the rapper’s nostalgic lyrics that take audiences back to their humble roots and all the various life-changing experiences as they journey through life.

“Str8 Outta Kennington” is lifted from Blaze YL’s latest 12-track mixtape, The Cost Of Being. The project sees him collaborating with producers such as El Londo, Kare, Samotypebeat, Alex Goughh, NJMADEIT, itskovani, Jamo Beatz and Leobeatz and features artists like Blanco, Arz, AntsLive, NSJ Mali, Kairo Keyz, and Joe.
