Vuyo and Skimmed Milk return to our consciousness with a soulful record titled “Do it”. Vuyo’s poignant lyrics are peppered by Skimmed Milk soulful lo-fi samples “Do it” is a loose track from the eclectic duo Vuyo & Skimmed Milk and also serves as the first offering from their collaborative EP that will drop later this year. The EP was recorded in Johannesburg, Oslo, and Barcelona

Born in Zimbabwe and partly raised in Norway, South Africa, and Zambia, – Ole “VUYO” Småge (b 1988)  had seen large parts of the world already as a toddler. With a father heavily involved in the liberation of South Africa and a mother deeply invested in the Namibian liberation, Vuyo was destined to be a world citizen after living the teenage years in the Norwegian capital of Oslo. After joining the Norwegian arts collective North Of this autumn, Vuyo is now ready to reveal his musical endeavors, – starting with the Oseias Xavier produced track “Lord Knows”. The smooth, mellow and lush vibe of the track mixes influences ranging from Soulquarians to Fela Kuti to Native Tongues with a modern hip-hop sound – mixed to perfection by fellow North Of associate Poppa Lars.
