It’s men’s mental health month, and it’s only right that we hear some of our rap heroes speak on this delicate issue with all sincerity. With that being said,  Brooklyn MC Ruste Juxx connects with longtime collaborators Cali producer Preed One  and DJ TMB  for “Depression.” The track explores the root causes, symptoms and long-lasting effects of depression. Backed by a gritty and brooding backdrop, Ruste Juzz breaks it down to the core of the matter and shows us that it sure can get dark sometimes, and the only way is to find the right help and hold on to the light. London scratch specialist DJ TMB steps in to temper the track with some excellent scratches using pivotal vocal samples from luminaries like the late Guru and Scarface.

The single serves as the first taste from the upcoming album Imperishable Artistry.
