It’s a tough job as we sift through a ton of high-quality tracks just to settle for just 5 so we switched it up so now we curating the Top 10 Submissions. Imericjones kicks off this week’s Top 10 Submissions with his own brand of modern hip-hop. The track titled “Sauce” sees the rapper dwell on his burgeoning relationship with his significant other and also on all the ups and downs they go through to get to their present state.

 

 

 

Dax – Dear Black Santa.

Dax serves us his own version of the fabled Santa Claus on “Dear Black Santa”. Its a tongue in cheek look at the mentality we were all conditioned into for the yuletide period. Fortune – Showoff.

South Florida rapper Fortune gets into the zone on his new song “Showoff”. The lush production serves as the perfect backdrop for his playboy lifestyle lyrics  and smooth flow. The visual is quite vivid too with its luxurious display of the good life and then some. Originally hailing from PA, Fortune shows a knack for punchlines and metaphors that are a modern reminder of the golden era of rap. Influenced by the likes of Jay-Z, J Cole, and Curren$y; Fortune brings you that slick bravado that any listener will appreciate.

 

 

Gosh Da Reel – Daddycate (feat. Priscilla Bailey)

Chiredzi, Zimbabwe-based gospel rapper Gosh Da Reel‘s newest single “Daddycate” is a poignant song that sees the artist talk about his single father. The song features British singer Priscilla Bailey,  and was produced by Rayobeats.  Gosh dedicates the song to his father who raised him as a single father. He was inspired to do it when he was in South Africa and came across the trending hashtag #MenAreTrash which motivated him to tell the world that not all men are trash. There are also good men out there who are doing the best they can for their children.

Drew – Warm Winter.

18-year-old rapper/singer/songwriter , Drew, serves us some cool vibes with his soul-drenched style on his new single titled “Warm Winter”.  The rapper exudes the Christmas spirit with a jovial vibe laced with humor and love over a laid back reflective backdrop.

 

 

 Kian – The Law (Ft. AHAV).

Emerging emcee Kian delivers a dark, solemn record he calls “The Law” and shares with us some insight into his present mindstate. He talks about his fears, challenges, and hopes with his mellow, laid-back flow. His use of

mystical sounds of the Santoor, a Persian instrument, with hard-hitting hip-hop grooves and bold electronic bass to create a mind-bending experience

THK Feat. Vic Rippa – Chop Of a Brick.

THK is an electronic music duo formed by DJ Glenn Forrestgate and Producer Style da Kid. Their new record “Chop of a brick” is a very eclectic blend of hiphop/trap and edm elements. Teaming up with Bay St. Louis, Mississippi recording artist/songwriter Vic Rippa who provides a solid vocal performance over the frenzied soundscape, “Chop of a brick” serves as a solid testament to the experimental approach THK follows in their production and makes for a great listen.
