Welcome to TWIB’s Weekly Top 10 Videos. This is a segment where we will be looking at some exceptional visuals from various acts from around the globe. The music video format has been around for decades and through the 90s and 2000s, it has taken flight from multi-million budget music videos, to mid to low-budget videos with exceptional features. In this section, we will not discriminate but rather highlight some of the creative visuals that pop up on our radar.
Again, we promise to bring you the best from high to low budget, to animated to DIY and first and foremost, the most creative visuals we can source.

Emerald Sun x pxpkxrn – “All My Friends”.

Emerald Sun and pxpkxrn join forces to bring us “All My Friends”, a heartfelt and poignant tune that explores loss, and death. Over the guitar-driven backdrop produced by Birkknut, Emerald Sun looks back at the memories of the past, and loved ones who have passed away and shows appreciation for what life has given him.

 

 

TraviS – “Forgive Me”.

Nigerian-born, Ireland-based rapper TraviS make his entry with his solo single “Forgive Me”. The reflective track comprises dark brooding textures and punchy bass-heavy drums underpinned by his emotionally punchy flow and engaging lyrics. The song comes with a cinematic visual directed by Sam Fallover, who uses black and white moods to accentuate TraviS’s mysterious aura and stylish demeanour. “Forgive Me” is taken from his forthcoming mixtape due in December.

 

 

L2Trilly – “M2M”.

 

UK rapper L2Trilly unveils the visual for his song “M2M”. Bolstered by the punchy drill backdrop provided by AMonthemix, L2Trilly delivers a fiery performance with his distinct and expressive flow and vivid lyricism. The visuals directed by TVK Visuals ramp up the energy with engaging visual effects and smooth transitions that tap into L2Trilly’s upbeat demeanour.

 

 

 

JOHNNY SMOKE – “Future Ghost”

 

Rapper/producer JOHNNY SMOKE takes us deep into the deserted town in his new single “Future Ghost”. The reflective tune explores the life of a man on a mission who won’t let anything or anyone get in his way. Then production is brooding and solemn and fits JOHNNY’s poignant lyrics and themes revolving around the essence of humanity. As for the visuals, we follow JOHNNY SMOKE into the skid row part of town and the despondency in the air is thicker than raw leather.

 

 

 

 

 

Dax – “God’s Eyes” Remix (Feat. Phix, Carly Pearl, Brutha Rick, P!X!E, Jerome Dillard, & MORE]

Indie rapper Dax continues his mega mix music releases with the latest being “God’s Eyes”, a heartfelt tune that dives into religion and the never-ending struggles revolving around faith and self-redemption. This remix brings together a host of artists he found on TikTok through his open verse challenge. The artists featured here include Phix, Carly Pearl, Brutha Rick, P!X!E, Jerome Dillard, Mic Manic, TheSanity and many others.

 

 

 

 

 

Berna – “Know Me”.

Essex-based rapper Berna recently put out his new mixtape East2Essex which comes with the visuals for the lead single “Know Me,” featuring Peckham Rap veteran Tiny Boost. The hard-hitting jam is filled with edgy bravado raps and a memorable hook that audiences can rock with. The visual is a performance-based flick that captures both emcees in their element.

East2Essex is a 9-track project, which includes previously released hits “Straight Outta Newham,” “Rap Saved Me,” and “Different” (featuring rising North West rapper Glizz), marks Berna’s dynamic return, filled with fresh inspiration and energy. The project also blends musical styles like Rap, Drill, and Afro allowing Berna to showcase his versatility as an artist.
