Welcome to TWIB’s Weekly Top 10 Videos. This is a segment where we will be looking at some exceptional visuals from various acts from around the globe. The music video format has been around for decades and through the 90s and 2000s, it has taken flight from multi-million budget music videos, to mid to low-budget videos with exceptional features. In this section, we will not discriminate but rather highlight some of the creative visuals that pop up on our radar.
Again, we promise to bring you the best from high to low budget, to animated to DIY and first and foremost, the most creative visuals we can source.

Mickey O’Brien – Ikigai (feat. Fresh Kils & Uncle Fester)”
Sudbury, ON-based rapper Mickey O’Brien shares his new song “Ikigai” which sees him teaming up with producer/DJ Fresh Kils and Uncle Fester. The track’s title references the Japanese concept of living life with a purpose and is filled with reflective and heartfelt lyrics like “The journey is the real gift, people stop stressing” that audiences can grow on. The accompanying visual captures Mickey in different spots and enjoying the little things that add up to a fulfilling life ranging from being with loved ones, and friends and the musical activities that make him tick.
So-Si – “Do Sum With Me”
Riverside-born, Central Coast-raised artist/producer So-Si has something fresh for the summer with his new single “Do Sum With Me”. The track is a chilled but bouncy track underpinned by So-Si’s laidback flow and engaging raps about having a good time. The accompanying visual follows him and his crew basking in the sunny weather at the beach.
When in Rome – “Birds Of A Feather/The Promise” (Remix by Scott B. Mackay)
When in Rome presents “Birds Of A Feather/The Promise”, a remix by Scott B. Mackay who crafts an atmospheric soundscape underpinned by sultry and heartwarming melodies. The visual is a live session that showcases Scott’s live performance style.
Why-D – “Dolo the Icon (Malmoe, Malmoe)”
Malmö, Sweden-based rapper/producer Why-D leads us into his stomping grounds in his new track “Dolo the Icon (Malmoe, Malmoe)“. The self-produced track pays homage to the golden era of rap and his hometown and sees him in his element with hard-hitting bars. The visual shot is in black and white and uses a mix of performance shots with wide shots of the city landscape which adds depth to Why-D’s vivid lyrics. This is the third and final single taken from Why-D’s forthcoming LP, The Work of a Doloist.
Billy Blackbird – “Okay”.
Emerging producer/songwriter Billy Blackbird drops the visuals for his song “Okay”. The track is a contemporary pop tune that explores the dynamics of blossoming love and the trepidations that come with it. Armed with his sublime and expressive vocal runs, Billy delivers a resounding performance with alluring melodies and a catchy hook to match. The visuals focus on an unknown female lead who basks in the warmth of the evening on the beach.
Prezence – “Change Ourselves”.
Multi-talented artist Prezence returns to our playlist with his new visuals “Change Ourselves”. The self-produced track blends reggae with a touch of soul and hip-hop and delivers an uplifting message that dives into the true meaning of change. He reminds us that to change the world, we need to change ourselves. The visuals were shot in different locations between Kingston & Blue Mountains, Jamaica, and Prezence Studios, Sedona, Arizona and uses performance shots and landscapes of the beautiful land of Jamaica.
LetOutThePressure – “let’s stay home…”
Brooklyn-based producer/rapper LetOutThePressure takes the concept of the homebody to a new level in his new single “let’s stay home…”. The track uses a mix of the soul with lofi sensibilities and heartfelt relatable stories about not wanting to go outside. He is quite humorous and candid with his lyrics plus the visual concept also adds an extra layer to the song with its engaging aesthetics and set pieces.
Colde – “I Color You”.
Seoul-based musician Colde raises the ante in his new release “I Color You”. The upbeat modern R&B/funk-infused cut is inspired by The Neptunes and mid-2000s R&B and sees Colde in his element delivering soul-stirring melodies and adulation-filled lines that audiences can relate to. The accompanying visual is as colourful as they come and uses eye-popping set pieces, engaging choreographed dance moves and cinematic shots to drive home the message.
The track is taken from his English-language debut, a three-track EP titled YIN.
Kwakzino – “Long Way”
UK artist Kwakzino helps close this week’s video playlist with “Long Way”, a rousing drill and reflective tune that talks about avoiding shortcuts and being grateful for small mercies. The visual style blends performance shots with engaging visual effects with lyrics on the screen to punctuate the uplifting message.
