Prolific emcee Myer Clarity and producer Fresh Kils (OCDC) are back in full effect as they release their new single “Work With My Hands.” The track continues the duo’s single releases as they venture towards their forthcoming collaborative album OCDC. The track underscores the duo’s core theme of their unstoppable grind and superhuman work ethic. Fresh Kils prepares a sinister and hard-hitting beat ripe with crunchy downtempo drums and a dark, offbeat synth and textures that creates the perfect atmosphere for Myer Clarity’s edgy bars to thrive. The rapper doesn’t hold back and lunges forward with a no-nonsense demeanour and commanding flow with lines like
“Ain’t no cents in my career, but still I get up, check the mirror,
cause its what I do
Woke up, my steel tools widdled ’n
Snake oil salesmen got the dream pool glistening
Most y’all here don’t do ya real due diligence”
This underpins the go-getter mindset that has propelled their careers, and it’s perfect for everyone who is out there in work and getting their just due.
