Talib Kweli Speaks On Kendrick Lamar: “Kendrick Quoted Kurupt…”

Now before you go taking my title out of context, please pay attention to what Talib Kweli says on his perception on the “King Of New York” line from Kendrick Lamar’s famous ‘Control’ verse that got everyone either fuming or just talking about it. Talib even talks about the show that Talib and Mos Def attended a couple of years ago in Los Angeles for Kendrick Lamar’s Section 80 at the Music Box, where the infamous KONY line originated. He even clears the air about his misunderstood tweet (which is down below). It’s a pretty insightful sitdown, so just sit back and listen.

Y’all new NY rappers ready to stop rapping like y’all from down south yet? #kingofny
