Ryan Berry shares the visuals for “Spinach” taken from his new EP Seven Songs. The record has a somber and nostalgic vibe that captures the rapper’s life and thoughts in the most intimate and frank manner. Over the well-crafted backdrop, he delivers an impassioned delivery ripe with evocative lyrics and some well-timed bravado to match. The video goes for a DIY aesthetic and captures Berry in different spots in his home. It’s crisp and sure gets the job done.

His EP Seven Songs sure has some dope joints and on songs like “Skinnies” with Boston’s Will EsCargo, we get to hear some dope hip-hop delivered by the duo. Over a menacing and punchy backdrop, EsCargo holds down the fort with smooth flows and vivid lyrics while Berry follows suit with a solid verse. The track is bolstered by a scratched vocal chorus as well.

Berry has been active since 2004 in the New England punk and metal scenes while also dabbling into hip-hop. Seven Songs is his third self-produced hip-hop EP and the first thing he has done since moving from Boston to Pittsburgh.
