Vault Classic brought this to our attention and right off the bat, we at Word Is Bond knew it was nothing less than dope. Rahim Samad is an emcee I’m not familiar with but connecting with Canada’s prestigious producer Elaquent is a step in the right direction. The track in question – ‘Do Your Thing’ – hits the right spot. Solid groove, funky instrumentation and Rahim’s mellow and confident flow makes this something extra nice.

I hope to hear more from this cat in the nearest future and his album Travel Properly:The Soundtrack drops in December.

Tune in and get with the program.

Tampa, Florida’s own MC, Rahim Samad, has teamed up with Ottawa, Canada’s progressive beatmaker, Elaquent, to deliver his latest offering titled ‘Do You Thing’. Lush keyboards groove over spacey, hard-hitting basslines and drumkicks as Rahim’s witty, intricate lyricism blends wonderfully to this sonic offering. The track is from Rahim Samad’s upcoming album ‘Travel Properly: The Soundtrack’, which will be released mid-December 2013.
