Prince Wiser is pushing buttons and shaking tables with his new release I Learned From Little Brother. A project inspired by the legendary North Carolina hip-hop group of the same name. “Def Notes” is the 3rd track of the project and sees Prince Wiser teaming with fellow emcee Nico Woods over a smooth head-nodding beat by Album Kuts.

Both emcees do more than deliver the goods with multi-layered lyricism, wordplay while dropping gems for those who pay enough attention. Prince Wiser opens the floodgates on this tune with lines like “…holding a photo, recording tracks, can never get more than that/ Dig deep on me, fuck around get an artifact/I’m Banksy in the Bronx, I give y’all the art of rap…” and he doesn’t miss a beat. Woods is not far off and answers the call with his laid backflow and lines like “…Always trying to be learning, I know ignorance is bliss/shit I’ve been doing is observing/Being dope is my gift…”

The track is tied up with some excellent vocal cuts giving it that classic rap element.

“Def Notes” is taken from I Learned From Little Brother and it’s entirely by Album Kutz Productions
