Producer/ emcee Neak keeps delivering solid releases and on this new release aptly titled “The Gift”, he doesn’t miss a step. He chops up a classic soul sample and flips it into an enchanting backdrop that allows the vocals to really shine through. The track is set up nicely as Philmore Greene comes through with a solid verse where he explores his personal experiences ranging from love, sacrifices to get ahead and much more. Neak follows up on the second verse with his own take on the issue where he details the life of growing up in a very dangerous environment but still be able to make it out unscathed, both mentally and physically.
