MOCC‘s “War Face” is a hard-hitting song taken from his album, War Tapes, and it’s a concept track that plays on how the German army commanders tricked their soldiers into taking meth and the effect of the same drug on his city in modern times. Backed by the ominous and cinematic soundscape provided by Cvlt 45 , MOCC brings listeners closer to the war front with a vivid lyricism that blends fortified tanks, trenches and the dilapidating effects of a war of attrition. The track is quite engaging and the use of the classic snippet from Full Metal Jacket really adds that extra oomph into it.
