Canadian rapper/songwriter K-Riz is all about positivity in his latest single “Come & Go”. The soulful track produced by Theo is made up of a dreamy and ethereal string-flute arrangement (violin from Tina Sol, and Deppisch on the flute) with soulful horns (courtesy of Octavio N. Santos) and hushed brushed drums all underpinned by K-Riz’s rich lyricism that focuses on finding the light in the darkness. Lines like “Never stop believing in yourself / Sometimes / You may not see it in yourself / Tell me how you gon’ shine / When you a victim of your mind,” see the rapper imploring listeners to push beyond their perceived limitations and comfort zones to achieve their true potential.

The accompanying visual is shot by emerging Calgary filmmaker Gbohunmi who captures K-Riz in different spots around the city using the cityscape as the perfect backdrop to accentuate the positive message in the track. The video also features cameos from rappers Tea Fannie and La Tytan.

“Come & Go” is taken from K-Riz’s latest album One Way Ticket, which is released on Birthday Cake Records.
