Nanaimo-based Canadian rapper Switch first came on the scene in 2017 after securing a music grant from FACTOR, which he used to create his EP Run with Scissors and he hasn’t looked back since. He has since released 5 albums, 2 EPs, and 12 music videos since late 2017 and has performed on stage with the best of the best. His latest effort “Who Are We” is the first release from his forthcoming collaboration with the legendary Moka Only and serves as a teaser for what is to come from these two Canadian hip-hop luminaries. The title speaks for itself as it showcases both rappers in their element as they flow effortlessly over a haunting piano-led backdrop. The accompanying visual also comes along and accentuates the introductory theme with its moody and somewhat psychedelic visual effects and unorthodox cut scenes and transitions.

“Who Are We”  is lifted from Switch and Moka Only’s forthcoming collaborative project entitled The Mothership EP which will be released on Friday, February 2, 2024 via URBNET. The six track release recorded in Vancouver and Victoria in the summer of 2023 showcases their unique blend of laid back yet dark and ominous sounds. Mixed entirely by NATO Down at Up in arms studio in Edmonton. Switch and Moka Only will share a new single and music video “Who Are We” on January 12, 2024, the first offering from the upcoming EP.”
