“Awaken the Heart” is a heartfelt collaboration between trumpet player/producer Iram Reyes, rapper Jake Lloyd, singer Yasi Baby, and Keyboardist JaRon Marshall. The result is a brilliant mix of R&B and hip-hop in its purest form. Fro the soulful, dreamy textures and grooves and profound lyricism that tackle the ups and downs of this treacherous music industry. Jake shares his own experiences and while the hope for success is real, it’s not a walk in the park. Yasi Baby provides a solid heartwarming hook as well and helps add that extra soulful touch to the track.
Iram Reyes is a freelance trumpet player, mixing engineer, producer, and studio owner of Bad Hombre Studios. Reyes has been playing professionally in Austin, TX for over 15 years, and he has recorded and performed with acts such as Ex Romantika, JaRon Marshall, A.B. Quintanilla III, JM Stevens, and Nané, Bourgeois Mystics, and many others. Reyes is now starting his new venture as a freelance producer and mixing engineer. In order to showcase his talents as a freelance producer and mixing engineer, he plans to release his first solo album in the Spring of 2023. This album will feature many prominent artists from the Austin area such as Daniel Fears, Jake Lloyd, JaRon Marshall, NOA, PhonSOUL, SiCK THoTS, Mike Melinoe, and others.
