If you can recall last year, we’ve brought you tons of events to check out during the CMJ 2011 Music Marathon Showcase in the hiphop area; one of my favorites were the Kendrick Lamar one and the BlackSmith vs Duck Down show. This year, CMJ will have a slew of acts such as GZA, Ghostface Killah, Casey Veggies, Theophilus London, Asher Roth, Q-Tip, as well as indie rock bands like Stones Throw’s The Stepkids, The Soft Pack, Dum Dum Girls, Slug Guts, Prince Rama, and lots more! This year they have a wide variety of music styles to be presented to the masses, so these five days are definitely going to be worth your money to be a part of! If you’re down, then make it happen!

In addition to the music aspect, there will be a music conference to check out with over 90 speakers from various entities talking and dissecting the legal aspects of the music industry. For those of you that are into a wide variety of music, this is the place for you to check out, especially if you’re an aspiring artist, or just someone that’s trying to get information about the business as well as having a good time!
