CunninLynguists Rocking The Crowd In Manchester (UK)

Photos & event review by Artskiee

We were eased into the night by DJ Flip Flop playin’ out a bunch of classic tunes all the while being smug with ourselves for getting what were probably the best seats in the house (the venue had a small balcony right above the stage that held about 8 people) we waited patiently from 7pm til 9:30 admiring Flip Flops selection and scratch skills.

PackFM hit the stage with probably more energy than the whole crowd, the stewards and the bar staff combined! The guy was bouncin’ and got the crowd completely hyped. The dude was throwing water into the crowd, crowd surfin’ and just generally lettin’ everyone know who he was and what he was about.

The stand out part of his set has got to be when he had the lights dimmed and hushed the crowd. He then acted out (what in my opinion is his greatest track to date) ‘Click Clack Spray’. He followed this up by a crazy game of ‘I’ll Freestyle off of anything the crowd can pull out of their pockets and hold up in the air’

PackFM left the stage to welcome on the Lynguists to a now pumped up crowd. Im a bit shabby on names of the tracks that they played but they definitely had ‘KKKY’, ‘Hellfire’, ‘Beautiful Girl’ and one of my favourite tunes ‘linguistics’ in there.

Kno performed ‘Graveyard’ with the help of Deacon and Natti which made me want to hear more from Death is Silent!

They finished of with ‘Star Shines Brightest’ and were joined by PackFM for ‘Hypnotized’ and another bout of crowd surfing and water fights.

Overall, the show was really on some next level, the intimate venue coupled with the pure energy from both acts left me with a buzz and a smile until the next day.

PackFM really left a mark and after checking more of his music I think we will definitely be seeing more from him in the future (his CD “whutduzFMstand4?” has made its way into my car CD player already)

The Cunninglynguists have secured a spot as one of my favourite Hip Hop groups with this show. Easily out performing a lot of big name acts I’ve seen in the past.

Massive shout out to Flip Flop also for providing the quality beats non stop ALL NIGHT!
