Many of you may know of Chris Orrick as one-third of Ugly Heroes under the alias Red Pill. He changed it last year, according to Salute Mag. In 2016, he released Portraits under his gov’t name, and earlier this year he brought you Out To Sea.

This time around he’s teaming up with another Michigan producer under the name The Lasso to bring you I Read That I Was Dead.

The album is about Orrick reading about the death of his namesake who’s a cryptozoologist. This was inspiration enough for Orrick to explore the subculture of folklore while The Lasso paints pictures with his production under the guise of a drug-trip under a moon-lit moor – according to a press statement.

The album is set for a 11/15 release on MMG with Quelle Chris as the only feature on it. For right now, listen to the first single, Children of Dirt.
