BigBoyEllis is back in our purview and this time he brings with him a body of work in the form of “Copperfield” EP. If you have been following his journey on TWIB then you know he is part of a collective known as Souljazz. This though, is a debut release by the now Ottawa-based music head and it encapsulates hip-hop techniques, lo-fi aesthetics and soulful jazz melodies.
His voyaging encounters and exploits provide a loose framework for its overall substance and listeners can expect to get an unembellished feel of the artistic process involved in its creation, and much more. In order to create this project, BigBoyEllis pulls fellow group member, Walter 1ders, into the studio and the chemistry between both men is very evident on this project. 1ders produces the whole EP so you get to hear some level of consistency in the musical direction.
There is hope that more will be coming from BigBoyEllis but in the mean time hit up his website to hear the EP across multiple platforms and also hit him up on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook if you would like to get personal.
