People do things for different reasons. There are a lot of people who get into music for the splurge, some for the chics, and some due to the urge and for some it’s a quick fix. Ultimately, expression is the sole basis of music, but in this era of quick fixes it is somewhat impressive that some still aim to express art in their lyrics – and you know for a fact that attention span is quite low of late. To the fans of lyrics like me, MeccaGodzilla scored big time with this one and to be honest I appreciate that fact that he didn’t try to be all Jay-Z with his take on the track originally credited to the Magna Carta Holy Grail list. This to a large extent makes me think of Immortal Technique’s words “I paint with lyrics bring life to words” and this right here is what this ‘Picasso Remix’ offers.
