Footwerk is a Washington D.C based Hip-Hop fusion band comprising of 6 musicians from different backgrounds and styles. The band deliver a special blend of live instrumentation fusing Soul, Hip-Hop and Reggae (with a dash of pop elements). on the strength of their album Casual Encounters, Footwerk blesses us with the visuals for one of their singles titled No Hurry. A Caribbean tinged soulful inspirational number. The video itself shows the band in a Big Brother type situation where they are forced to live together. Of course the usual tension will rise, tempers will flare but at the end of it all, the message is clear. Despite our differences, we all got to find a common ground to be able to live in peace and harmony.

Hit the play button and get with the program.

No Hurry” is a throwback to the feel good summertime songs of the 90’s. Themed around a ‘No Worries’ mentality and borrowing a ‘Everything’s gonna be alright’ philosophy and sound from the classic reggae rhythms fused with modern day dance beats and hip hop influences.
The visuals for “No Hurry” were inspired by the original reality TV show, MTV’s Real World and based on the idea of six musicians meeting via craigslist and making a band work, is similar to six strangers being picked to live in a house and coexist.  See what happens when it gets real…

This 6 piece band from our nations capital bottles energy and lively fun into a festive mix. They have moved every crowd they’ve played for and will impress even the most experienced concert lover. Members: Vocally led by ‘friendzone’ power couple (Melisa & Kyle) on the frontline, the back line is an orgy of musicians from diverse backgrounds named Teddi (keys) Eric (Percussion) Fern (Bass) Josh (Drums).
