The hip-hop veteran Big Shug recently dropped his full-length 20 track project The Diamond Report but he is definitely not resting on past glory. In his newest visual, he hits the streets with full force in the video for the track  “Stay The Course,” a soulful and contemplative cut that sees him dwell on the recent happenings in the US of A. The Elevated Music produced cut serves as the perfect backdrop for Shug’s thought-provoking and insightful lyrics.

Featuring direction from Ill Mannered Films (Redman, Cypress Hill), the video centers on the Gang Starr Foundation member and, more importantly, his rhymes. While there are some clever edits and additional touches that bring life to the visuals, they mostly serve to send home the message in Shug’s words.
