We open up this week’s instrumental playlist with Nigerian producer Youngest dj AK whose new track “Emotional & joyful” is a sublime flute-driven track that is hypnotic and soulful. The horns are heavenly, and the mellow groove will draw listeners in with siren-like effects. Phoenix, AZ–based guitarist/producer Lullabies enters our playlist with “Steady Diet of Beats,” a hard-hitting cinematic track that blends boombap with contemporary sounds. The guitar licks are prevalent and evoke urgency, while the vocal scratching and moody textures all come together like peas in a glove. Next, we have the one and only Stræpa, who teamed up with Cvsket Pretty for “A Little Brighter.” Together, they craft a modern lofi/jazz track punctuated by layered pads and a prominent horn arrangement that evokes nostalgia.

 

“Gilded Leaves” is a track from CaliCronk that was too good to pass by. The producer taps into the spirit of summer with this guitar-driven cut that lifts the soul. Producers Chill4est and DertyLee continue the summer vibe with “Blossom,” an aptly titled track that takes listeners to a warm sunny beach far from the craziness of the city. We then head to Poland with the help of Kubuch and Adam Dejnarowicz whose new release “Wake and Jazz” is a laidback lofi/soul cut with jazz elements. The guitar riffs and horn section do add that extra soulful punch to the track. Nosara and ANJG drop “Waverly” into the mix, and it’s perfect with its ethereal textures, warm vocal hums and sublime flute. Finnish producer Teemu Nätynki pays homage to the one and only “Baldhead Slick.” The track infused retro jazz elements with boombap rhythms to create a nostalgia-inducing jam that lovers of hip-hop can rock with. German musician denada. takes us into the “Overland,” in his new release. The mellow track has soft grooves with a soulful guitar arrangement and warm textures to match. Lofi Milk returns to the fold with “Breath in Purple,” a mellow and soulful piece that evokes sadness. The ethereal pads, airy horns and moody piano chords all play alongside each other, creating an emotional ambiance. the intern taps into the 90s boombap energy with “Garden Of Love & Chinch 33.” The track has punchy drum grooves and subtle sample chops comprising horns, woozy pads, thick basslines and a classic vocal sample to complete the job. theJLM unveils the “Guillotine,” an experimental track that blends Dubstep-influenced synths with distorted elements, punchy drums, and dark textures.  The track is dynamic and progressive, featuring full chord changes and layered pads. They even used vocal accompaniments to add that extra flavour to the track. Funky Notes and Ben Jammin’ Beats’s “Take ‘Em Back” is a punchy jazz/hiphop infused track that hits the mark. Packed with ethereal textures, sublime horns, thick bassline-driven drums and soulful pads, the track evokes a sense of nostalgia with relaxing and blissful vibes. Sam Ojalvo gifts us with some “razzle dazzle” in their latest release.
