Toronto’s Theo Tams drops his rendition of R.E.M.’s classic single, “Losing My Religion,”  to coincide with Pride Month. The moody and solemn aesthetic of the classic is carried over to this modern-day take as Theo infuses his own experiences growing up in a religious environment and balances that with his sexual identity. Backed by solemn piano movements and slow build-ups that coincide with explosive emotional runs. He doesn’t hide his true feelings and gives us a glimpse of his life as he finds his true self throughout the dark moments in his upbringing and comes to terms with who he truly is.
