Welcome to TWIB’s Weekly Top 10 Videos. This is a segment where we will be looking at some exceptional visuals from various acts from around the globe. The music video format has been around for decades and through the 90s and 2000s, it has taken flight from multi-million budget music videos, to mid to low-budget videos with exceptional features. In this section, we will not discriminate but rather highlight some of the creative visuals that pop up on our radar.
Again, we promise to bring you the best from high to low budget, to animated to DIY and first and foremost, the most creative visuals we can source.

Common, Pete Rock – “Dreamin’ “
“Dreamin'” by two hip-hop legends Common, and Pete Rock gets the visual treatment and it’s one for the books. The soulful reflective piece that looks at numerous events witnessed by Common is bolstered by an equally vivid and engaging visual that captures the duo in rare form and gives audiences a glimpse into their journey as beloved icons who are still here keeping the culture alive.
Qung Xav – “Vegan Recommendations”
Multi-talented artist Qung Xav enters our video playlist with “Vegan Recommendations”, a heartfelt but bravado-laden showcase of his lyrical style. Backed by a soulful and sombre backdrop, Qung Xav candidly shares his thoughts on several issues plaguing him and he does so in a casual and somewhat nonchalant manner. The visual follows him and his girl as they shop for essentials and later end up at a bar basking in each other’s company.
Stoic x LIFEOFTHOM – “BY MY SIDE”
Producer Stoic and rapper LIFEOFTHOM share their new collaboration “BY MY SIDE”, a soulful track comprising soothing melodic runs and head-nodding drums. Here, LIFEOFTHOM proceeds to drop hard-hitting, unapologetic bars ripe with off-kilter rhyme schemes. The visual employs performance shots and split screens to capture the rapper in his element.
“BY MY SIDE” is the follow-up to Stoic and LIFEOFTHOM’s collaborative project COCOTASO.
Jords – “Marley Flow”.
Multi-faceted singer/rapper/songwriter Jords comes through with “Marley Flow”, a heartfelt and reflective tune that explores his life, the ups and downs and the never-ending hurdles he had to overcome. The visual style uses performance shots of Jord in different exotic spots that span continents.
Cuzzo – “PHOTO FINISH”
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada-based rapper/producer Cuzzo delivers the visual for his song “PHOTO FINISH”. The self-produced track is bouncy and bass-heavy and is underpinned by his energetic flow and reflective lyrics that give audiences a glimpse into his life. The visual is performance-based and sees Cuzzo doing his thing in the studio.
HoodTrophy Bino – “By Your Side”
HoodTrophy Bino pays homage to the most important person in his life in the new song “By Your Side”. The heartfelt song sees him penning an open letter to his daughter Milliani and his family. The visual is a showcase of love and sincerity as we get to see HoodTrophy Bino spending time with his family and enjoying every moment.
Hoodtropy Bino is gearing up to release his second full-length and is currently on a North American tour with Bravo the Bagchaser followed by 19 tour dates with Soulja Boy.
Doechii “NISSAN ALTIMA | Swamp Session”
TDE affiliate Doechii is working on new music but in the interim shares “NISSAN ALTIMA” from her ongoing “Swamp Session” visuals. The track is another hard-hitting jam that sees Doechii flexing her lyrical biceps reminding audiences that she is here to stay. The visual reimagines the car scene at the start of Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright” video and features Doechii in full gear alongside TDE teammates Jay Rock, Ab–Soul, and Isaiah Rashad, who all make cameos
GameChangers – “Summer In The City”.
“Summer In The City” by GameChangers is the perfect way to end this week’s playlist. The bouncy tune is all about having fun at the summer party, with drinks, grills, cars and good times with the crew. The visual taps into the energy of the track and we all get a view of the ongoing party in the park.
