Algerian-American hip-hop artist Slick Naim was raised in the hip-hop capital of NY, Brooklyn to be exact and has found his calling as a rapper/songwriter/producer. Besides music, he is also an Emmy-nominated writer, director, actor, and TV/film producer. With over a dozen plus music videos and a handful of albums under his notch he returns with 2 solid visuals for his songs “In The Vault” and “Scary Slope”

“In The Vault” is a bouncy flute-laden trap track produced by Krissio that sees Slick Naim flexing his verbal chops in his own distinct way. He details his many accomplishments and many works he has under his belt and pushes away the haters and detractors who try to derail him. The visual has a dystopian feel with some elements of Mad Max. The cinematic clip shows him and his wife Reema Naim (who is also a director) setting up shop to drive off the posers who try to encroach on his territory.

“Scary Slope” is a reflective and insightful piece that sees Slick contemplating his daily struggles and wins. Over a sombre backdrop, he gives listeners a glimpse into his life and how sometimes he loses hope as he chases his dreams but something inside him keeps him from breaking apart.  Once again directed by his wife Reema, this video features intimate shots of Slick surrounded by the city lights he grew up on. Take notes, kiddos. And put on some sunglasses for the ascent of this star.
