Experimental producer Slice Tee comes through with a handful of instrumentals from the lab this week. Quite an interesting release so let’s dive into it right away.

The first cut “Sex on the Beach” has a bass-heavy drum groove and a dreamy synth arrangement. It’s crisp and doesn’t make use of many changes but it’s quite engaging.

On “Purple Stuff (Refill)” he employs a solemn vibe that is ripe with atmospheric pads, sublime textures, and soft trap drums to match. I like the simplicity and nostalgic element here.

“DonJulio” is somewhat gloomy with its thick basslines and dark synths. It’s somewhat trippy and cinematic as well.

“Mai Tai” is quite laidback and somewhat reflective. The layered ambient pads and bell-synths do work well.
