Safiyyah is back with the first single off her debut EP and it is called ‘Be Someone.’ She is 22-year-old singer/songwriter born and raised in West London and Portuguese and Moroccan descent.

Safiyyah knows how to use her music to open our eyes to themes of nostalgia, culture, relationships and independence. Her music flows between Neo-Soul, low-fi, R&B and contemporary jazz. Her influences are Kendrick Lamar, Erykah Badu & Prince whilst also interpreting powerful female inspiration from the likes of Nina Simone and Frida Kahlo.

With her debut EP “Third Eye” dropping at the end of May, Safiyyah’s excitement to share her music made her have a lot to say about the project:

“My debut EP is to show people the different sides to my world. I want to give people an insight to who I am as a person. The title Third Eye, comes from my spiritual journey and it represents knowledge and enlightenment. I want to enlighten people into my world. Love, hate, life experiences, and express this through my sound and varsity.”
