Detroit MI-born multi-faceted artist Odelet caught our attention with her experimental soul, dark pop stylings as she released her new album Pisces Pie. As an indie artist, she is fully hands-on with her music from composing, singing and producing her music. After dropping a slew of singles, she is now back with her new album Pisces Pie, an 11-track project that blends classic soul.r&b, jazz with hip-hop musical stylings and a unique touch.

The project starts with the title track, a barebones piano-laden piece that exudes warm and nostalgic vibes ripe with Odelet’s rich and sultry vocal tones. This is followed by “Supreme”, a moody track that is underpinned by her unique airy vocal runs and heartfelt songwriting. Next is “Supreme” a bouncy jazz-infused offering that is comprised of plucky basslines, and slick grand piano arrangements that create a smoky ambiance underpinned by Odelet’s jazzy vocal cadence and enthralling melodic runs. The fun continues with “Whole”, a laidback scenic piece that digs deep into the concept of true love and the essence of putting in the work to make it whole in the true sense. Here, Odelet employs a whispered tone to deliver an emotionally powerful performance. On “Six of Cups”, we get to hear more of her jazz influences as she lays a soothing and cinematic backdrop that is comprised of slick piano riffs, dusty bass-driven grooves and her distinct husky vocal runs. Other outstanding tracks include the solemn “Unique”, the hip-hop-infused grooves on “paired” and the introspective “Eclectic”.
