Brighton-born singer/songwriter IYAMAH (pronounced i-yam-ah) recently released her debut album In Two Worlds, a genre-bending project that showcases her love for neo-soul, hip-hop with roots music. Now, she returns with the visuals for the song”Ladybird”. The heartfelt and reflective tune is inspired by the gentle demeanour of the ladybird and its interconnectivity with nature. Over the mid-tempo guitar-driven backdrop ripe with plucky strings, bright textures and pulsating basslines, Iyamah reflects on her journey as a young woman and the never-ending cycle of emotions that come with the grind. At the end of it all, she comes to terms with ever growing dynamics and how sometimes we all just need to slow down, smell the proverbial roses and find our true purpose once again.

The visual style uses a lot of performance shots and abstract motifs that captures Iyamah’s vibrant energy and expressive demeanour that is steeped in self-awareness and growth.
