RisingSouth Coast-based singer-songwriter Nakala shares with us her newest record “First Time” which is a love-laden joint laced with honeyed vocals. Over a smooth alluring texture, she delivers a heartfelt story about making the first move on an individual that piqued her interests. She approaches it in a very subtle, organic manner that displays her raw honesty and unapologetic demeanor. She further explains that the song was birthed after her personal experience in kicking off a new relationship. She adds “… I guess I was nervous about making our first time perfect because I didn’t want it to be a one night thing. When you meet someone new there’s always the hope you’ll be better than the rest so that’s what I was going for.”
