Pittsburgh-based emcee/producer, Moemaw Naedon, links up with New Orleans’ spitter, Calig Kontra on, “Slime Volcanoes.” A gritty track that sees both emcees go for the proverbial jugular with their verbal darts over the Naedon-produced headbanger. The track’s taken from Naedon’s, Dr. Deadhorse LP which drops next Monday. The track is the perfect precursor to Naedon’s aforementioned album and quickly gives the listeners a true taste of what to expect from the hard-nosed lyricist. Nothing is left tot he imagination here as both go back to back with solid verses laced with wit and jaw-dropping quips like “…I’m like a young, cracked out, beyond saved/ sit back enjoy the ride while I take the wrong way/Full speed, lights off in the pitch black…”
Naedon describes the song as “a self-produced wrecking ball that I’ve been hyped to release for some time now.” He also goes on to say that it’s an “introduction to what happens when me and this New Orleans mic annihilator get together.” So yeah, let’s cross our fingers that this is only the beginning. Get it on all DSPs here. Dr. Deadhorse arrives on all major DSPs next Monday, June 1, and can be pre-ordered now via iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play through Soul Slime Records.
