Minas is the mononym for James Minas, Greek/Welsh artist, and producer based between Cardiff & St David’s in South Wales and rhythm section The Davies Brothers. Their latest single “Chatty Patty” is an explosive vitriol against the system that continues to put their foot on the necks of the masses by way of the rise in the cost of living and the changing UK climate where nothing is certain anymore. The production is quite scenic, dark and punchy which serves as a stark reminder of how gloomy the situation is while Minas’ unapologetic performance is ripe with edgy and insightful bars that explore the topic in detail with his own distinct perspective. His blend of punk/hip-hop is quite interesting as he offers something refreshing and different while giving a voice to the voiceless.
