It’s been a few months since Kyle Rapps hit us up some goodness and suffice to say, his new release ‘The Sky’s on Fire‘ doesn’t fall below the aforementioned quality. The energetic synth based backdrop, laced by Belief, plays like a mantra while Kyle delivers some gems with vocal assistance from Adrienne Mack-Davis. A solid combination of accessible music, intelligent rhymes resulting in a somewhat catchy tune.

I need not repeat, just hit the play button and get with the program.

Whether he’s doin’ it singlehandedly or collaborating with high caliber acts like Action Bronson or Murs, the New Jersey native and now Harlem resident Kyle Rapps has a knack for putting everything on the line in his rhymes. More awe inspiring than anything, “The Sky’s On Fire” reunites the Rapps with long time collaborator Belief (Ghostface Killah, El-P,Talib Kweli, Jean Grae) to create an anthemic, yet personal track for your enjoyment with “The Sky’s on Fire.” Potent raps aside, the breezy vocals of Brooklyn’s Adrienne Mack Davis adds a gripping tone to the already catchy beat. Even at the eleventh hour amidst the chaos and confusion, Rapps brings it together to acknowledge the fears, doubts, and insecurities around us.
