Jaywalk and The Cadillacs is the newly formed duo comprising London-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Ash Walker and Detroit-based producer/rapper/singer/songwriter Illa J. The duo are presently working on a collaborative album, and in the interim, they share the first single, “In Love.” The track is a raw, unfiltered slice of classic neo-soul with a modern twist that brings together an expertly crafted musical arrangement that blends rich textures with layered grooves, basslines and soul-stirring melodies.  The track explores the omnipresent concept of love and how one can be far from a loved one, but the love feels the same. Illa J’s vocals are sublime and his vocal range takes the track to a new level as he ventures out of his comfort zone compared to his previous singing endeavours.
