Australian hip-hop artist Vinnie Hoover is carving his path with his brand of unfiltered, hardcore rap. Teaming up with his in-house producer Hommy DeVito, the duo are slowly creating something different from the norm.
The first cut, “Jorts,” is a mellow has a solemn piano riff and punchy drum grooves and finds Hoover in his element. Armed with his off-kilter songwriting and expressive flow, he takes listeners deep into his world with vivid storytelling.

The second track, “WhoKnowsWhat” has a familiar guitar lick and a solid drum groove that blends perfectly with Hoover’s commanding flow and engaging storytelling. No stone is left unturned as Hoover breaks down his daily activities and shows us what makes him tick. The song’s visual is grainy, moody and dark, which continues Hoover’s unorthodox approach.

The final cut, “Big Steppin'” is a no-holds-barred display of lyricism from Hoover, whose nonchalant and commanding flow works perfectly over DeVito’s ominous production. Once again, Hoover raises the ante with his use of off-kilter wordplay and graphic imagery in his lines.
