After her recent signing to HiPNOTT Records, DMV by way of Chicago emcee Intelligenz releases the video to her recently released single “Round of Applause”.  Shot on the west side of Chicago, director Trilogy of Trilavision, brings Intelligenz’s childhood town to life in this cinematic video.  Viewers will immediately notice the custom Prince tee designed by celebrity artist Demont Pinder worn by Intelligenz in the video. In fact, the video was shot on June 7th, the birthday of the late musician Prince.  Intelligenz states that this was her homage to Prince.

Intelligenz also pays respect to her mentor MC Lyte, in the song’s third verse:

“See LYTE gave me the light and a lesson that understood,
when a legend lends you a message (it’s) a blessing for what is good.
Told me I could accomplish it, promised me if I honored it,
anybody who knocking me, know, I am unstoppable”.
